Ah, I recently read an article about how Google purchased Gizmo5 to integrate it with Google Voice. It will allow you to use an actual phone number or a username. You will be able to use it from a land line, cell phone or a computer. Obviously if ...

Well, there is another option - http://gadget.brando.com/intercep-phone-call-system_p01007c024d001.html That is only a one time 16 dollar device that could be used over and over too. You could probably (I'm about 98% sure) take the AV cord into th...

Thanks for the response, Brion. Yeah, I'm starting to suspect that Skype may be our best -- if not only -- option. I think I'll try out the software first to make sure it will suit my needs, then I'll investigate costs involved. Like you said, tho...

You might look into Skype. You can call any number from Skype and use recording software to capture it. It does cost to use the Skype to landline feature, but it might be worth it.

Why Brad Doesn't Receive Answers To His Email

O.K. Here's the problem I encountered. I get an email from Brad Dressler saying that so far NO ONE has replied to his emails about attending a Professional Development Meeting. Well, I can't reply to his email (it's a "do-not reply" email) so I click immediately on the tamcon.ning site.

I expect to be taken to a "thread" on the email Brad posted, much as I would with, say, FB. But, I can find no such thread. I search all over the site and can't find ANY way to respond directly to his que… Continue

Hospitality: beyond SEO, beyond usability

For too long, webmasters have thought of search engine optimization as if it were nothing more than a form of advertising, and usability as if it were nothing more than accessibility. SEO became a set of clever techniques to get visitors to your site, and usability became a set of rules that might be reluctantly [...]

The return of bonfire (.tamu.edu)

Just a quick note to say that we just launched a new Bonfire Remembrance site at bonfire.tamu.edu. The site takes the old Bonfire site that was launched shortly after the collapse in 1999 to keep people updated and then left as a kind of online remembrance and merges it with the Bonfire Memorial site that [...]
